Day 11 - Back again... again...

Back at the Inn having fed and bathed and had a bite to eat, I returned to the Inns main room to find the rest of the party seemed to still be drinking. There was a strange monk at the table... Yes I know - all monks are strange! This one apparently is called Banipal (it's horrible the things some parents do to their children) and he's signed on to replace 'our' dead Hoo.... so to speak. We spend some time discussing the pros and cons of the remaining tasks and chatting to Bertrand about where we might go... The reports of Bat-like things in forest near Erehwon sound interesting - from the varied accounts, some people seem to think they may be Griffons (Wishful thinking! Griffins have more taste than that), some say something darker; others say 'it' -whatever 'it' may be - can hypnotise you with its 'singing'. People say the strangest things... Who knows...

We hang round the Inn for the next eight days; apparently things in Erehwon aren't too desperate. In that time there is much buying and selling and great rejoicing. I take the time to stop by the artificers and report on the prototype darts. Seeing we're staying so long waiting on stuff Damir's getting made - I spend extra time with them and we draw up plans for some new darts and some with fins, to drop from a height - or perhaps fletched or something. I replenish my supplies of Prototype#2 and manage to get six of the newly designed, finned drop-darts to try out.

After much discussion, very little of it to the point: the tasks on offer are to investigate a sealed oblisk (seems someone sealed up a bunch of mages... sounds perfectly sensible to me - why would you want to fuss with something like that?) or to 'sort out' a large bat like creature in the forest outside the village Erehwon or lay to rest a haunted village or help a village terrorised by were wolves (I didn't like the sound of this - I have close personal friends who are Were) or the haunted abbey in the marsh (though neither Norton and Damir seemed to be happy about all the water!) We decide on the bat like things terrorising the village Erehwon.

Back to The Inn of the Far Shore.

Stupid things we've overheard...

I suppose a good death is better then bad roleplaying.
